Plants & People

Plants sustain human livelihoods, providing food, medicine, and wood for cooking and heating. Today, most of the world's forests function as social-ecological systems, shaped by human interactions. My research explores key questions such as: Which plant species do local communities use, and how? How sustainable are these practices? How do people influence plant community structure and diversity? And how resilient are these practices to climate change?
