Capacity Building
Community brigades. Only by strengthening the capacities of local communities is it possible to successfully implement and sustain in time conservation projects. I have conducted several workshops on topics such as seed collection, ecological monitoring, restoration and management of agroforestry modules.
Students. So far, I have been lucky enough to mentor and supervise the theses of three great undergrad students. Eduardo (Population dynamics of an endangered conifer), Hector (Monitoring soil erosion in different land production systems) and Brenda (Establishment of a community network of organic and agroforestry modules) have successfully completed their studies in recent years.
The work presented on this page was done during my years at Pronatura Veracruz. Always in collaboration with many collaborators. It's all about teamwork.
